Sorto in ChatGPT and Claude
What can it do?
Let your assistant draw the names. Say who is in, who may not draw each other, the budget and the date. Sorto creates the group and gives you one link for the group chat.
The draw happens at Sorto. The assistant never sees the result, and neither does the organiser.
Without installing anything
The home page has the buttons “Open in ChatGPT” and “Open in Claude”. The assistant asks for the names and the rest, and gives you a prefilled link. You check the names and tap “Draw names”.
With the Sorto connector
With the connector, the assistant does everything itself. Find Sorto in your assistant's list of apps or connectors, or add this address as a custom connector: https://sorto.gift/mcp. You need no account and no login.
After that, a plain request is enough, for example: “Draw Secret Santa names for Jan, Lies, Tom and Ann. Jan and Lies are a couple, budget €25, party on 24 December.”
What the assistant can then do for you
Draw names, with couples, households (“Jan, Lies and Tom do not draw each other”) and one-way rules.
Show who has looked and who has a wish list, without saying who has whom.
Write a reminder for the group chat, with a button for WhatsApp, Telegram, text message or email.
Change the title, budget or date, add or remove someone, release a name or draw again.
Show who had whom at the party, and draw again next year without anyone getting the same person.
For participants: save their own wish list, or ask the person they drew a question anonymously.
Examples
“Who has not looked yet? Write a reminder for WhatsApp.”
“Add Piet, he may not draw Eva.”
“It is almost Christmas again. Draw again with the same people, but without Bram.”
What does the assistant see?
Only what is needed: the names, the rules, the budget and the date. No function returns who drew whom.
The assistant works with the group's admin link. Whoever has that link can manage the group: do not share it.
The privacy policy of the assistant applies to the assistant itself. Read our privacy policy too.
